About Me

My name is Chia-yu Chang.  Nickname: Nico

I'm an animator and Character designer. I started studying at SAE University College's Bachelor of Animation program in 2022 and expect to complete it by the end of 2024。

Before that, I was just a Chef (Working at Sunnybank Hill's The Coffee Club Cafe), and my hobbies were making desserts, playing games, painting and watching animation. At first, I was hesitant to study animation because I wasn't sure I was the right fit for it and if I had the motivation to stick with it. Then I saw the movie "Weathering With You." Its story, music, and stunning scenery profoundly attracted me. I decided to learn animation because I wanted to make such beautiful animations. Of course, my friends also asked me if that was too impulsive. I think I have chosen this path to go ahead and don't give up halfway.

I gradually fell in love with animation and liked designing characters and plots. It's gratifying when the work is completed. Among the projects I am most satisfied with are "Secret Garden", "Cherry Destiny," and 3D and 2D character design.
